GCIV Global Lunch Forums are a great way for you to interact with fascinating international visitors. The speakers are participating in U.S. Department of State professional exchange programs. These distinguished guests review their work over lunch, giving you the opportunity to engage in open discussion with people who are leaders in their fields from around the world.

On August 24th, Dr. Masumi Yoneda will discuss human trafficking from a Japanese perspective. She is an Associate Professor in the Department of Intercultural Studies at Kobe College as well as a researcher on women's rights for the Kyoto Human Rights Research Institute in Japan.

While participating in the U.S. State Department's International Visitor Leadership Program in Atlanta, Dr. Yoneda will examine the sex trafficking of women and children, how victims are identified, and the advocacy and education around the issue.

This lunch forum is a brown bag lunch, so bring your own lunch or order a boxed lunch from GCIV in advance.
