Infosys BPO Ltd., the business-process outsourcing subsidiary of the Indian information-technology giant Infosys Ltd., is expanding its metro Atlanta delivery center again, planning to hire 200 more employees in the coming fiscal year beginning April 1. 

The expansion comes less than a year after Infosys opened the new center on Windy Hill Road in Cobb County. 

The announcement shows that Atlanta has the right assets - cosmopolitan culture, ample talent and secure, accessible office space - required to attract major IT firms, according to Infosys, which has made Atlanta a keystone of its 19 North American locations. 

Like other Indian firms that have made a splash here, including Wipro Ltd. and NIIT Technologies, Infosys is working with Atlanta universities and technical colleges to recruit and train talent. The company expects even more expansion leading to more jobs in the coming years. 

Infosys entered the Atlanta BPO market through the acquisition of McCamish Systems for up to $58 million in late 2009. McCamish now operates as a subsidiary and has separate offices on Powers Ferry Road.

Infosys currently has about 300 employees in Atlanta across its BPO division and other IT and consulting divisions.
