The board of directors for Atlanta-based Rollins Inc. in a Sept. 8 news release announced the immediate firing of Glen Rollins as executive vice president of the company and president of its subsidiaries, including Orkin LLC.
Mr. Rollins and his siblings had recently named Rollins Inc. CEO Gary Rollins and Chairman Randall Rollins as defendants in a lawsuit over their roles as trustees of certain Rollins family trusts. Henry Tippie, a Rollins director, was also named in the suit, but the company itself was not implicated, according to the release.
Orkin and other Rollins subsidiaries provide pest-control services to more than 2 million customers in 500 locations all over the world.
