Atlanta - 08.06.10

Delta Air Lines Inc. is launching a new flight to Reykjavik, Iceland, next June 1 from New York and will be the only U.S. carrier to fly nonstop between the two countries.

The flight will originate in Minneapolis-St. Paul with a stop at New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport before leaving for Reykjavik.

In a news release, Atlanta-based Delta said the new service is "part of its ongoing investment in the New York market," with more than 40 new destinations added over the last four years from John F. Kennedy and LaGuardia airports.
